The Ritual

Freehand shaving is a gesture that demands precision and awareness. A ritual handed down through generations, in which every movement restores a slower, more intentional dimension to personal care. The blade glides with absolute control, following the contours of the face with impeccable precision and transforming a daily routine into a moment of genuine attention.
Designed for those with advanced shaving experience, this razor interprets the tradition of classic barbering, restoring it to its most rigorous and refined essence.

The Barbers’ Advice

A high-quality freehand razor requires precise movements and constant care. Only in this way can its sharpness, precision, and beauty be preserved over time.

  • Before each shave, prepare the blade edge with a few strokes on a leather strop.
  • After applying shaving soap or oil, gently stretch the skin and use the razor at an angle of approximately 30°.
  • Begin by following the direction of hair growth and, if necessary, proceed against the grain for a closer shave.
  • When finished, rinse the blade with warm water, dry it thoroughly, and store the razor open until completely dry.
  • Wait at least 48 hours before the next use to allow the edge to realign naturally.
  • In case of prolonged disuse, apply a small amount of acid-free oil to protect the steel.

The Design

Designed for those who have already gained significant experience in traditional shaving and desire a tool that combines precision, balance, and character. The 6/8" concave blade with a straight tip offers extraordinary control, ideal for shaping the beard with millimeter-level precision. Forged in Solingen, Germany — the historic capital of high-end cutlery — it is crafted from 1.4034 stainless steel with gold plating, combining performance, durability, and elegance.

The Facharbeit model originated from a limited edition originally commissioned in 1965 and still retains the charm of a rare and sought-after object. The handle, crafted from fine dark buffalo horn — selected and hand-finished — features naturally unique patterns that make each piece one of a kind. Completing the design is the Eredi Zucca-signed brass medallion, a distinctive detail that elevates the accessory’s aesthetic.
